Research and Evaluation: assessing community needs and evaluating program and organizational processes and impacts through literature review, interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other tools

Research and Evaluation:

Designed and managed a year-long community assessment, including demographic research, literature review, leadership polls, a telephone survey, and focus groups with people who are blind and low vision.
 

Created and carried out ongoing program evaluation with community organizations serving recent immigrants and their families, using form and survey design, focus groups, interviews, and case studies.
 

Provided evaluation management consultation to a community foundation, as well as evaluation capacity building, logic modeling, and support with data collection and reporting for its grantees.
 

Designed and implemented a formative evaluation project focused on process and outcomes evaluation, using literature review, data collection system design, family interviews, and case file review, for an organization serving SED youth.

Organizational Development and Training:

Completed multi-year strategic planning processes from start to finish with community health, environmental, and immigrant rights organizations and foundations.
 

Developed research-based theories of change and logic models to inform organizational and program planning and evaluation.
 

Facilitated board development processes, retreat planning, event coordination, and ongoing meetings for community-based organizations and a local community foundation.
 

Coordinated a pilot project of six organizations convened to incorporate issues of race and racism into their anti-homophobia curricula for youth in Bay Area public schools.
 

Managed a collaborative of eight organizations dedicated to lead poisoning prevention in low-income communities of color in San Francisco.
